VISUALIZING THE FUTURE
Perception was founded in 2001 by R/GA alumns Jeremy Lasky & Danny Gonzalez as a design and motion graphics studio whose mission was to design high end animation and graphics on desktop machines. Perception was one of the original trailblazing motion graphics studios in NYC at the very dawn of that new industry.
For the first 10 years, Perception focused on design collaborations with the biggest broadcast networks and global ad agencies. In 2009, Perception collaborated with Marvel Studios on the groundbreaking and innovative technology design of Iron Man 2. This watershed moment set the stage for Perception’s future path of bridging the gap between SCIENCE FICTION and SCIENCE FACT, and exploring the profound parallel worlds between them.
Today, Perception is a team of design and UX visionaries brought together to visualize the future of technology for cinema and for the world’s most innovative tech companies. Using SCIENCE FICTION THINKING, the Perception team balances their time teleporting between these two parallel dimensions of fantasy and reality.
SCIENCE FICTION THINKING
We use Science Fiction to perceive the world through the lens of what is possible instead of what currently exists. It allows us to mine our wildest imaginings of the future to analyze the present and consult with businesses to create and innovate.
Drawing upon our vast experience conceptualizing and developing future tech for the biggest sci-fi blockbusters of the last decade, we are able to inspire and guide the most cutting edge tech leaders across the globe.
